Bob Dylan cover...

I usually don't like Bob Dylan covers but I just bought Charlotte Gainsbourg's last album and I can't stop listening to this song.  Not as good as the original but close.

Finally...

This Christmas Wyatt finally agreed we can begin the saving process for my Chanel bag.  Kind of a graduation/need for my honeymoon in Paris type of gift to myself.  I know that it probably isn't the most productive use of my savings but after the year I've had I would say it is much deserved.

The beginning stages...

The wedding will be home at an Oregon winery with art deco, romantic, and modern elements.  August 11th is still seven months away but I need to speed up the planning.  More details to come later but I wanted to include the inspiration of what's to come.

effortless inspiration...

Clemence Poesy always looks so put together without trying too hard.  She mixes classic or vintage pieces with envy worthy off the runways clothes that I could only dream of.  It's the French understatement that I always try to emulate but never quite master.  Maybe a honeymoon in Paris will help me build my inspiration further ;)

Behind the scenes of the Isabel Marant Spring show.  I love love love her designs, the models chosen, the hair, makeup.  Everything about this video makes me excited for Spring.

Almost time to put the tree away...

I love the holidays. I know that most people do but I have a somewhat abnormal obsession with Christmas that starts about the day after Halloween and lasts until people start judging me that the tree is still up as we head into Spring.  Three years living with Wyatt we have begun to make traditions of our own including splitting time in Oregon with my family and his here in Seal Beach.  I'll post better pics of our new place once I've finally let go of the holidays for the year but wanted to share the remnants of the season.

A mix of modern with a nod to 70 glamour..or at least what I was hoping for

We finally have two bedrooms the second is my closet and a work in progress game room for Wyatt

I collect everything vintage including cookware (not saying our stove even works because it doesn't)

My mad men inspired bar.. all pieces were found at the Long Beach Antique Fair

everything should be white white white

Goodbye Christmas 2011!

And so it begins...

I have made blog attempts before and life has gotten in the way forcing me to abandon and move on to more essential pieces of my life like grad school, my job in retail, and moving.  Now that I finally have some time to sit and reflect I wanted to share my inspirations behind the decisions I make in life, fashion, home, and most recently wedding plans.  I have almost no attention span and my ambition usually far exceeds what is possible, leading to impulsive changes in direction in all regards.  I won’t say I am a risk taker in fashion because I don’t believe in “fashion for fashions sake”.  I believe that what we wear is a reflection of who we are and it should represent all facets of one’s current state and personality at its highest potential.  I love beautiful pieces of clothing, art, music, and people that make you think and inspire for something more.
Enjoy!
